A1 Plumbing will be supporting breast cancer awareness and research this October with a range of initiatives. Both as volunteers and fund-raising for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, a charity which has done considerable work both to increase awareness of the condition, and to promote research to find a cure.
YOU CAN HELP TOO: During the month of October, up to 10% on invoices for work on Thursdays will be donated to the foundation.* Part of these donations will go towards supporting free mammograms for local women.
A1 Plumbing's support will include:
- Volunteering at the Breast Cancer Awareness kickoff event on “First Thursday” in Boise.
- Partnering with the local Komen foundation and Boise State to hand out awareness materials, t-shirts and pink pom-poms at the October 26 football game. We will be holding a “pink” tailgate party and then our plumbers and family members will be handing out pom-poms to fans at the gates.
- Wearing pink shirts on Thursdays to promote awareness.
- Wave Day: to promote awareness we'll be holding a wave day outside the front of our building.
